The one accessory in a car where a bad fit is not just annoying.
Custom Steering Wheel Covers makes hand-laced leather, sized stretch-on fabric and neoprene, perforated microfibre grip, moulded silicone all-weather covers, fleet and dealership programmes and retail boxed lines.

A steering wheel cover is the only thing in a vehicle a driver holds continuously, and the only interior accessory whose failure mode is a safety problem rather than an inconvenience.
So the first question is never the colour. It is the rim diameter and the rim thickness, and we will not make a cover without both.
After that it is heat, grip and how the mark is applied — three things a car park in August settles for you.
Why we exist
This category is sold on ‘universal fit’, which is the polite version of not measuring anything.
Rim diameters and thicknesses vary far more than the packaging admits, and a cover that creeps under a firm turn should never have been fitted.
Fit is two numbers
Diameter and thickness. Covers fail on the second far more often than the first.
A panel cut or sized for the wrong thickness either will not close around the rim or laces up slack.
Lace-on removes slip entirely
A laced cover is stitched to the rim, so rotation is not a possibility rather than something resisted by tension.
A stretch-on cover is quicker to fit and relies on being correctly sized. Both are fine; only one is fine unsized.
It lives in a car parked in the sun
Cabin heat and UV are the durability story. Cheap coated finishes go tacky by August and then flake; thin silicone hardens and loses grip.
We specify for heat stability and colourfastness, so nothing transfers dye onto a pale rim, pale trousers or a palm.
It is a grip surface
Texture and perforation change how a wheel turns with wet or gloved hands, which is a functional decision.
And every material adds diameter — the commonest complaint about premium covers — so we state the added millimetres and will recommend the thinner build when it suits the rim.
The mark has to be in the material
Debossed into leather, embroidered or woven into fabric, moulded into silicone.
This is the highest-abrasion surface in the vehicle. A printed graphic is gone within a season.
Where we stop
We print two fitting rules with every order: a fitted cover must not be able to rotate or creep on the rim, and it must never overlap or obstruct a control, a stalk or anything moulded into the wheel.
We make no claim of any kind about airbags, restraint systems or crash performance, and we never suggest a cover makes a vehicle safer. Those are questions for the vehicle manufacturer.
What we will talk you out of
A universal size. A tacky coated finish. A printed logo. A plush thick cover on an already-thick rim. And a rental programme built on a cover that is not rated for repeated refitting.
Each refusal costs an order occasionally and costs trust never.
